St John Fisher Catholic High School is seeking a dedicated, compassionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (SEND) to join our supportive and inclusive team. This is an exciting opportunity to support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full academic, social and emotional potential.
Working closely with the SEND Department, teachers, pastoral teams and families, you will provide classroom, group and individual support for students with a range of needs including Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language needs, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience of working with children or young people.
- Is passionate about supporting students with SEND.
- Can build positive and trusting relationships with young people.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is patient, resilient, organised and adaptable.
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
- Will actively support the Catholic ethos and values of the school
