The Role Reporting to the Head of Health & Safety, the HSE Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing and continuously improving robust HSE systems across manufacturing and assembly environments. You will work closely with internal teams, project delivery functions and client stakeholders to ensure HSE requirements are embedded throughout fabrication, assembly and installation activities, while fostering a strong, positive safety culture.
Key elements of the role include:
Leading HSE strategy across manufacturing and assembly facilities Ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and client-specific HSE requirements Driving behavioural safety and continuous improvement initiatives Acting as the primary HSE point of contact for manufacturing sites Supporting safe fabrication and assembly of prefabricated mechanical and electrical solutions Collaborating with project teams through all stages of delivery
Key Responsibilities Develop, implement and maintain HSE policies, procedures and management systems Monitor compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and relevant HSE legislation Lead incident investigations, audits, inspections and corrective actions Build, lead and develop a team of Health & Safety professionals Design and deliver training and competency development programmes Embed HSE considerations into planning and operational decision-making Promote environmental best practice across manufacturing operations Provide expert advice and guidance to senior leadership and project teams
The Person You will ideally have: 5 years' experience in an HSE Manager or senior HSE role Strong background in manufacturing, assembly, M&E or building services environments Proven experience developing and improving HSE management systems Solid knowledge of UK & international HSE legislation and standards NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) and environmental management experience Experience leading and developing HSE teams Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills Desirable:
Experience with sustainability, waste reduction or carbon initiatives Familiarity with digital HSE systems and reporting tools Why Apply?
