Our Design & Advisory Team

Venterra's Design and Advisory team is a multi-disciplinary group combining offshore policy, feasibility and marine consultancy with core civil and geotechnical engineering design expertise, operating in the offshore wind and marine development sectors. We combine our diverse skill sets to provide tailored solutions to suit client challenges and development plans. We can follow the client’s development process providing high value consultancy advisory in market studies, infrastructure and supply chain readiness, feasibility, due diligence and bankability assessment backed up by strong technical design expertise to help deliver and value engineer foundations and substations for floating and fixed offshore wind, transport & installation, port and marine infrastructure development assets.

Role description / purpose of the role

Background: The Head of Department role will form a part of the Offshore Group senior management team and its 50 engineers and consultants. This will be a combination role of external facing client management, commercial management along with team, resource and delivery responsibility for the current team of 8 in the ports team. We are looking to build on the recent project successes of working more client side in energy related marine development projects, providing strategic advice to offshore developers and due diligence to financiers.

There is also a heritage of design and delivery clients, but keen to have this team utilize their technical know-how working closely with the Marine Advisory team - where high value services are offered in combination.

Head of Department Ports & Supply Chain

This is an exciting leadership opportunity to grow and expand our Ports team as a part of our multidisciplinary Offshore Design and Advisory Group. You and your team will collaborate with our Advisory Consultancy team offering clients advice, specialist technical advice and designs for marine project infrastructure. The breadth of team service delivery includes strategic planning, option due diligence, market studies, concept and detailed designs.

Market studies, infrastructure and supply chain readiness, feasibility, due diligence and bankability assessment, concept and detailed design, technical support to planning and EIA submissions and using technical consultancy for port and marine infrastructure.
