Senior Quantity Surveyor – Water / Infrastructure (NEC)Location: Belfast (flexible hybrid)
A leading contractor within the UK water sector is looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a growing programme of work across major water treatment and infrastructure schemes. This is an opportunity to join a business delivering projects that directly improve the quality, resilience, and sustainability of the UK’s water networks.
The RoleYou’ll take full commercial ownership of projects delivered under NEC contracts
, working closely with operational teams to manage costs, mitigate risk, and ensure strong financial performance throughout the project lifecycle. The work spans large-scale water treatment upgrades, network improvements, and wider infrastructure schemes – ideal for someone who thrives in a technically varied, fast‑moving environment.
- Lead the commercial management of NEC-based water and infrastructure projects
- Manage forecasting, cost control, change management and contractual compliance
- Build strong working relationships with delivery teams, supply chain and clients
- Prepare CVRs, manage subcontract accounts and oversee final accounts
- Drive best‑practice commercial governance across the programme
- Experienced Quantity Surveyor with a track record in water treatment, utilities, or civil infrastructure
- Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts (ECC)
- Able to work independently, solve problems proactively and influence project outcomes
- Comfortable supporting multiple projects and stakeholders
- Degree‑qualified or equivalent, with strong commercial acumen and communication skills
