Working across six core sectors, our team of water scientists and engineers apply their specialist skills to a wide range of unique and often complex challenges in a fast‑paced environment. Our work makes a real difference to clients, drawing on nearly 30 years of technical, professional, and commercial experience.

Following an exciting year of growth across both our team and our office locations, we are seeking an Early‑Career Hydrogeologist/Hydrologist to join us at our Bristol, Shrewsbury, Derby, Richmond, or Stirling offices.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll join a friendly team of water scientists and engineers, working across a wide range of fascinating projects in sectors from food and drink to infrastructure and energy. Every day is different. You might be:

  • Designing and installing monitoring systems
  • Collecting, analysing, and interpreting hydrometric and groundwater data
  • Interpreting geological and hydrogeological maps
  • Producing conceptual models to understand how water moves through the environment
  • Supporting our senior consultants in solving technical and regulatory challenges for clients

Your work will combine field investigations and office‑based analysis, giving you the opportunity to develop practical and technical skills from day one. You’ll be fully supported as you grow in confidence and capability.

We’d love to hear from you if you have
  • An MSc (or working towards one) in Hydrogeology, Geology, Hydrology, or a related subject
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Confidence using GIS and the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Word
  • A positive, proactive approach and enthusiasm for learning
  • Willingness to work outdoors and travel for fieldwork
  • An interest in building great working relationships with colleagues and clients
