Senior Systems Engineer

The Systems Engineer is responsible for working on projects on the right-hand side of the V lifecycle, engaging with stakeholders to deliver customer equipment that meets integration requirements, verification, validation and qualification of products, systems or components. This may require working with hardware, software or firmware.

The job holder will be engaged in a wide variety of Systems Engineering activities covering the entire engineering lifecycle, including systems definition, input to estimates and bid activities, requirements apportionment, systems architecting, integration, verification & validation. These activities involve proactive interaction and communication with other Engineering and non-Engineering functions.

• Requirements capture and management – Maturing requirements

• Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering discipline

• Systems Engineering
  • Requirements and use case analysis
  • Concept assessment and design trade studies
  • System architecture design and functional modelling
  • Performance assessment and systems behaviour analysis
  • Verification, validation and certification
  • Model based engineering techniques, including MBSE
  • Acceptance
  • Integration
  • Testing

• Defence sector – highly desirable
• Bid management – desirable
• Polarian requirements management
• Vehicle experience would be desirable from automotive sector

• Experience working within systems engineering on the right hand side of the V lifecycle
• Modifications and configuration management
