Automation Engineer – Industry .0 & PLC Specialist

MCS Group is delighted to partner with a leading manufacturing business within the healthcare sector. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in automation projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and the development of advanced manufacturing systems within a regulated environment.

• Design, program, commission, and support automated manufacturing equipment
• Develop and maintain PLC and HMI systems
• Support equipment upgrades, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement projects
• Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, and Quality teams
• Contribute to Industry 4.0 and digital manufacturing initiatives

• HND or equivalent in Engineering, Automation, Electrical or Electronic discipline
• Strong PLC programming experience (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Omron, Mitsubishi or similar)
• Experience with in manufacturing automation or controls
• Knowledge of robotics, motion control, HMIs, and industrial networks
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
