Overview
Civil Technician (Water / Wastewater) – Belfast Vickerstock is partnering with a local, multi‑disciplinary consultancy to recruit a Civil Technician for their Belfast team. The role is ideal for a technician with experience in the water and wastewater sector who enjoys working on technically challenging infrastructure projects and contributing to essential utility schemes.
Responsibilities- Producing 2D drawings and 3D models for civil engineering projects within the water and wastewater sector.
- Supporting the design of infrastructure such as pumping stations, treatment works, pipelines, and associated site infrastructure.
- Preparing general arrangements, sections, and construction drawings in line with project requirements.
- Working closely with engineers to translate design concepts into coordinated technical outputs.
- Assisting with the preparation of design documentation and technical deliverables.
- Coordinating drawings with other disciplines to ensure consistency and accuracy across project information.
- Maintaining drawing standards and ensuring outputs comply with project specifications and industry standards.
- Experience working as a Civil Technician within an engineering consultancy or design environment.
- Previous involvement in water or wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Strong capability in AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
- Understanding of civil engineering design and construction principles.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high‑quality technical drawings.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Proactive approach and willingness to develop technical skills further.
- Competitive salary of £35,000 – £45,000, dependent on experience.
