A-1 Engineering, a Perth-based fire safety consultancy led by Chartered Professional Engineer Pauric McCaughey, specializes in performance-based fire engineering solutions that ensure compliance, enhance design flexibility, and manage costs while prioritizing life safety.
Role DescriptionYou’ll work across a diverse portfolio of projects, delivering performance-based fire engineering solutions and supporting compliance with NCC/BCA requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in preparing Fire Engineering Reports (FERs) and Fire Engineering Briefs (FEBs)
- Undertake fire engineering analysis and performance solution development
- Liaise with clients, architects, and building surveyors
- Support compliance assessments against NCC and relevant Australian Standards
- 1+ years’ experience in fire engineering
- Degree in Fire Engineering (or related engineering field)
- Strong understanding of NCC/BCA (desirable)
- Excellent communication and report writing skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to develop
- Exposure to a wide range of projects across WA
- Mentorship from experienced fire engineers
- Clear pathway for professional development and CPEng progression
- Collaborative and supportive team environment
