Job Overview

Process Performance Engineer to join Airbus in Belfast, UK, as part of the Manufacturing Engineering team for A220 Wing production. The role focuses on defining the best industrial sequence of work for the shop floor, optimising overall aircraft production.

Employment Details

Full time; location:
Belfast; limited travel within UK;
Security clearance: BPSS check including criminal record check.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure creation of the best industrial sequence, integrating SLB optimization drivers in the definition phase.
  • Enable execution of the best industrial sequence to secure delivery within Takt with optimised level of resources.
  • Continuously monitor and improve manufacturing efficiency (CVAT).
  • Set up line balancing as a mandatory prerequisite for manufacturing process/sequencing definition and performance monitoring.
  • Drive line efficiency through continuous improvement of line balancing.
  • Support process optimisation, maximizing value‑added with priority on critical path.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or similar field) or equivalent HND/HNC/NVQ in Engineering.
  • Proven experience in aerospace or automotive industry and manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of industrial processes and aerospace industry standards desirable.
  • Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and change in complex manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge and understanding of standard line balancing.
  • Proactive approach to driving efficiency and resolving production issues.
Work Arrangement

36 hour week, flexible working around core hours and Friday afternoons off, flexible working as per employee needs.
