Chief Geotechnical Engineer

Your new company Hays are working in partnership with a leading global engineering consultancy renowned for delivering complex infrastructure, energy and transportation projects across the UK and internationally, seeking a Chief Geotechnical Engineer to be based in Northern Ireland. Your new role As Chief Geotechnical Engineer, you will take on a key technical leadership position within the ground engineering team. You will lead the delivery and technical development of complex geotechnical projects across a range of sectors including major infrastructure, energy and transportation. Key responsibilities will include:
Providing technical leadership and oversight on major geotechnical and ground engineering projects

Leading and reviewing geotechnical design including foundations, earthworks, slopes and soil-structure interaction

Acting as a senior technical authority and supporting best practice across multidisciplinary teams

Managing and mentoring a team of geotechnical engineers and engineering geologists

Supporting business development activities, bids and client engagement

Delivering high-quality technical reports, designs and project outputs

Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes. You will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, developing technical capability and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards.
