Location: Northern Ireland
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + Excellent Benefits Package
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Metrology Engineer to join a leading manufacturing business operating within a highly technical and precision‑driven environment. This role would suit an experienced Metrology, Quality, Manufacturing Engineer with CMM programming experience, but applications are also welcomed from engineers looking to develop their metrology expertise. Full support and training will be provided, with a clear pathway towards becoming a technical specialist within the business.
The RoleYou will be responsible for supporting the site's metrology and inspection activities, helping to ensure products meet the highest quality standards while driving continuous improvement across manufacturing processes. Working closely with Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams, you will play a key role in developing inspection methods, improving measurement systems, and supporting production performance.
Key Responsibilities- Create, maintain, and improve CMM programmes and inspection routines.
- Support dimensional inspection activities across manufacturing.
- Assist with measurement system analysis, capability studies, and quality improvement projects.
- Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
- Provide support and guidance to production and quality teams.
- Help drive continuous improvement across inspection and metrology processes.
- Support customer and supplier quality requirements where required.
- Assist in developing future metrology capabilities and best practices.
We are interested in speaking to candidates with:
- An engineering qualification or time‑served apprenticeship.
- Experience with in manufacturing, engineering, or quality environments.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach.
- CMM programming experience (PC‑DMIS would be a significant advantage).
- Knowledge of metrology, quality, or inspection processes.
- Experience with GD&T, SPC, or quality systems.
- Aerospace, automotive, or precision engineering experience.
- Salary of £45,000 - £50,000
