Position: Quality Engineer (Co Down - 4 Day week)
Quality Engineer Co. Down | £35,000 - £40,000 | 4 Day Week Available | Flexible Hours | Hybrid Friday Option Vickerstock are working in partnership with a well-established manufacturing business in Co. Down to recruit a Quality Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a genuinely flexible engineering role within a supportive and collaborative manufacturing environment. The role would particularly suit someone looking for strong work-life balance without sacrificing technical exposure or career progression. You'll work closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to support quality assurance activities, continuous improvement projects, audits, supplier quality, and new product introduction activities across the business. The Role:

Support quality compliance activities across manufacturing operations Assist with internal and external audits Develop and maintain quality documentation and inspection procedures Support incoming inspection and supplier quality activities Manage non-conformances and corrective actions Support FAI and PPAP activities Assist with new product introduction and process improvement projects Analyse quality KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives Support calibration systems and measurement equipment control Work closely with Engineering and Production teams to maintain quality standards Support customer quality queries and investigations

What you will need:

Previous experience within a Quality role in manufacturing Good understanding of ISO 9001 and Quality Management Systems Experience supporting audits and quality investigations Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications Engineering qualification or relevant technical background Experience that would be beneficial:
Exposure to supplier quality or NPI activities
