Reliability Engineer – Belfast – Dayshift

We are hiring for our client, a well‑established and highly successful production business, who are seeking to appoint a Reliability Engineer to join their engineering team in Belfast. This Reliability Engineer opportunity offers the chance to play a key role in improving equipment performance, driving preventative maintenance strategies and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within a fast‑paced FMCG environment.

• Lead reliability and continuous improvement initiatives across production assets
• Analyse equipment performance and identify opportunities to reduce downtime
• Develop and optimise preventative and predictive maintenance strategies
• Use root cause analysis techniques to investigate recurring equipment failures
• Work closely with maintenance and production teams to improve plant performance
• Monitor key reliability metrics and recommend engineering improvements
• Support capital projects and equipment upgrades where required
• Promote best practice maintenance standards and continuous improvement culture

• Relevant engineering qualification
• Previous experience in a Reliability Engineer or similar engineering role within manufacturing or FMCG
• Strong understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance principles
• Experience carrying out root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and asset reliability techniques
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills

• Salary of £50,000–£52,000
• Monday to Friday dayshift working pattern
