Job Description
We are seeking Electrical, Mechanical, or Material Engineering graduates for our Energy and Rail teams. You will work in a collaborative environment applying your skills to a variety of clients and projects.
Asset Management and AnalysisAs a Graduate in Asset Management and Analysis, you will support power system studies and contribute to technical reports and client presentations within our Power Systems Consulting and Energy Strategy teams, which comprise roughly 50 multidisciplinary colleagues.
- Support delivery of power system studies (load flow, fault level, stability, harmonics).
- Assist with grid connection support for renewable and storage developers.
- Contribute to technical reports and client presentations.
- Help with project proposals and bid documents.
- Learn to use specialist power system software (e.g., DIgSILENT Power Factory, PSS/E, ETAP, PSCAD).
- Participate in multi-disciplinary project teams across the UK and internationally.
- Support stakeholder engagement and client meetings.
- Keep up to date with emerging energy technologies and regulations.
As a Graduate in Energy Networks you will design and implement power network solutions that support the UK's net‑zero transition. Your work will span engineering design support, feasibility studies, technical reporting, site visits, project management assistance, and stakeholder engagement.
- Assist senior engineers with the design of electrical and civil components for transmission and distribution, including substations, overhead lines, and underground cable routes.
- Contribute to feasibility studies by conducting site surveys and analysing data.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications documenting design choices and project progress.
- Visit project sites to survey existing infrastructure and monitor construction progress.
- Assist project managers with scheduling, cost tracking, and risk assessment.
- Engage with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to coordinate activities and address technical queries.
- Stay current with industry standards and engineering technologies.
As a Graduate in Rail – Information Management, you will support BIM digital advisory, review BIM models, implement digital collaboration workflows, produce engineering models and drawings, and act as a BIM coordinator resolving design issues.
- Support project teams with BIM digital advisory and strategy.
- Coordinate and review BIM models for accuracy.
- Work with ISO
19650 standards and common data environments (e.g., BIM
360 Docs). - Help implement workflows for digital collaboration.
- Explore BIM software solutions and improve delivery efficiency.
- Produce engineering models and drawings.
- Act as a BIM coordinator, resolving design issues.
- Collaborate with UK and international teams.

What we will be looking for you to demonstrateWe expect candidates to have graduated or be graduating with a 2:2 or above in MEng Electrical, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering and to demonstrate a passion for electrical engineering, enthusiasm for problem solving, and a desire to share new ideas.
