Our client is a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with a strong presence across the UK and Ireland. Due to continued growth and an expanding workload, an opportunity has arisen for a Structural Engineer to join their Belfast team.
Your new role
As a Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects from initial concept through to construction. Working closely with colleagues, clients, and design teams, you will contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality engineering solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
Producing structural analysis, design calculations, and technical reports.
Designing structures in steel, reinforced concrete, timber, and masonry.
Preparing design documentation and reviewing drawings.
Attending project meetings and liaising with clients, architects, contractors, and consultants.
Undertaking site inspections and providing technical support during construction.
Ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with relevant standards, budgets, and programme requirements.
Supporting the development of junior engineers and technicians.
What you'll need to succeed
A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
At least 3 years' structural design experience within a consultancy environment.
Experience working on a variety of building structures projects.
Proficiency in structural design software such as TEDDS, Master Series, Tekla Structural Designer, or similar.
Good understanding of Eurocodes and UK Building Regulations.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Progress towards Chartered Engineer status (IStructE or ICE) would be advantageous.
