Graduate Design Engineer

Hays Engineering is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a leading global manufacturing organisation for a Graduate Design Engineer position based in the Dungannon area. This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious engineering graduate to join a world-class engineering team, working on innovative products used across international markets.

The Role As a Graduate Design Engineer, you will work closely with experienced engineers to develop and improve mechanical products and manufacturing processes. You will gain hands-on experience across the full product lifecycle, from concept and design through to testing and production support. Key responsibilities will include:
Producing 3D CAD models and engineering drawings Assisting with the development of manufacturing specifications and bills of materials Supporting engineering change management processes Working collaboratively with Production, Quality, Manufacturing and Service teams Identifying and resolving engineering issues using a root-cause approach Contributing to product improvement and continuous improvement initiatives Supporting prototype development, testing and validation activities What You'll Need Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline (minimum 2:2 preferred) Strong understanding of engineering principles Experience using 3D CAD software through university projects or placements Excellent communication and problem-solving skills A proactive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to work effectively within a team environment Desirable Knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems

Experience of Product Data Management (PDM) systems Advanced Excel skills Familiarity with Creo / Pro-Engineer or similar CAD packages What's on Offer?
