Role Description

As a Power Systems Engineer, you will support the delivery and development of Reactive’s power system measurement and monitoring solutions across global electricity networks. Working closely with senior engineers, data scientists, project managers and commercial teams, you will contribute to customer projects, technical studies and product development initiatives. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in power system stability, grid analytics and emerging energy technologies while working with leading utilities, system operators and energy market participants globally.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications Technical Delivery
  • Support the delivery of customer projects involving power system monitoring, measurement and analysis.
  • Undertake power system studies, investigations and technical assessments.
  • Contribute to technical reports, customer presentations and project documentation.
  • Assist in translating customer requirements into technical solutions and deliverables.
  • Support project planning, estimation and risk identification activities.
Product Development & Innovation
  • Support the development and enhancement of Reactive’s analytical and monitoring solutions.
  • Apply power systems modelling, data analysis and engineering judgement to solve technical challenges.
  • Assist in validating new methodologies, models and algorithms.
  • Work closely with R&D teams to support innovation and product improvement initiatives.
Customer & Commercial Support
  • Support customer meetings and workshops by providing technical expertise.
  • Help build customer confidence through clear and professional communication.
  • Assist commercial teams with technical proposals, tenders and pre‑sales activities.
  • Develop a strong understanding of customer challenges associated with energy transition and grid stability.
  • Able to combine technical understanding with commercial awareness, supporting techno‑economic assessments and communicating technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Collaboration
  • Work collaboratively across Engineering, Research, Product, Delivery and Commercial teams.
  • Share technical knowledge and lessons learned across the business.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality processes.
Desirable Experience & Qualifications
  • PhD or University Masters degree in Power Systems engineering and less than 2 years industry experience
