Join Stantec in Northern Ireland as part of the ongoing growth, with plans for expansion in 2026 and beyond. We are continuing work on Northern Ireland Water’s IF182 Professional Services Framework and support our growth with a new city centre office in Belfast.
This pipeline, together with opportunities across the AMP8 cycle in the UK—including supporting Southern Water—means we are seeking Civil Engineers at all levels with experience in the water/wastewater industry to join us.
In this role, you’ll:
- Develop technical solutions and provide expert advice to clients
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure first-class project delivery

You will be degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related subject and have some experience of working within the regulated water industry. You will have or be working toward chartered status (e.g., IEI, ICE, CIWEM).
You will have knowledge of water and wastewater infrastructure/networks and treatment. Ideally, you will also have experience in areas such as Clean Water and Wastewater Treatment, Trunk Mains and Large Diameter Pipeline Design. Ideally, you’ll have previous consultancy experience mentoring or leading more junior civil engineers and technical professionals to achieve holistic technical outcomes.
