Position: HSSE Implementer (Health, Safety, Security & Environment)

JOB PURPOSE

Evaluate and manage the HSSE performance in the line of business requirements and monitor the implementation of the HSSE MS, to improve and achieve business targets.

PRINCIPAL & KEY

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Reporting to the Supply and Distribution Manager, the role requires a self-starter whose main responsibilities include:

  • Manage the RT, ERP and Crisis Management Plans, supporting the Company HSSE Manager in its testing and execution.
  • Develop fit for purpose Emergency Response Plans for all Road Transport and Depot Operations and plan its testing and execution.
  • Assist the contractors to develop and manage a fit for purpose HSSE Management System and implement it and preparation of the legal register.
  • Monitor the implementation of Group Standards.
  • Support depot team in developing and maintaining the HSSE aspects of the depot operating procedures.
  • Play a leading role in reporting, investigations and report writing for all incidents in the line of business and keep a Remedial Action Plan tracking system.

REQUIREMENTS

HSSE

Job Knowledge, Qualifications &

Experience:

Essential

  • NQF Level 7 (Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or any related field)
  • 3+ Years post qualification relevant work experience
  • Sound knowledge of Road Transport Operations and Depot Operations.
  • Understanding of HSSE Issues and Practices
  • A demonstrated ability in managing change and relationship with people, especially Government bodies and other key stakeholders.
  • Professional training in process safety and risk management will be an added advantage
  • Valid Driver’s License
