You will join our Newcastle planning team, part of a wider “North” planning network spanning Scotland, the North of England and Northern Ireland. Our planners work on a diverse portfolio of projects, helping shape places, infrastructure and communities through innovative and sustainable development.

Working as part of multidisciplinary teams alongside environmental, transport, design and engineering specialists, you will contribute to projects across sectors including energy, transport, water, science, industry and technology.

The Opportunity We are looking for a Town Planner to support the delivery of a wide range of planning projects and help shape sustainable development across the  this role, you will:
· Support and manage planning applications and development projects, including major and complex schemes
· Contribute to policy development, plan-making and urban regeneration initiatives
· Prepare and contribute to high-quality planning reports, statements and technical documents
· Support major infrastructure schemes, including NSIPs and National Developments
· Work closely with clients, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful outcomes

Is this role right for you?

We are looking for people who bring a combination of technical capability, collaboration and a passion for high-quality planning outcomes:
· A degree in Town Planning (or related discipline) and RTPI membership (or working towards)
· Experience contributing to planning applications and development management projects
· Strong understanding of UK planning legislation, policy and guidance
· Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, high-quality outputs
