User Centric Design Ltd is currently seeking experienced and motivated safety professionals to join our new nuclear safety division. This is a very exciting time at User Centric Design Ltd where we already have an industry recognised Head of Nuclear Safety in place and now need to build a safety case consultancy team to support new emergent opportunities, growth and delivery.

We are looking for both Senior (or heading towards Senior) and Principal level experienced safety case professionals who are fundamentally good team players and want to belong within a company which supports their growth aspirations with tailored guidance and mentoring support.

The Role

The role is to deliver safety case assurance within the nuclear domain. The successful candidates will likely already be (or eligible for) a Senior or Principal Grade. They will have the close support of the UCD Directors and the Head of Nuclear Safety who will guide and mentor their technical and consultancy development whilst providing a range of opportunities to build their professional relationships and reputation with our clients.

As a safety professional, you will be responsible for delivering a varied number of safety case reports to our clients that meet expectations for time, budget and quality. You will also be expected to regularly interact with clients, providing progress updates, raising challenges alongside potential solutions and for managing risks / opportunities. You should expect to be working closely with the Head of Nuclear Safety who will be supporting your continuing development with the eventual aim of you becoming a key safety case lead representing UCD for assigned clients.

The level of guidance and support will be tailored based on your existing experience, and will be tracked within a personal development plan which best aligns with your own growth ambitions.

With sufficient experience and development we would eventually be looking for you to support the training and mentoring of other team members as they join UCD with the overall goal of creating a new inclusive safety case community of industry leading consultants.
