Financial Controller

Our client, a well-established and growing business based in the Derry region, is seeking to appoint an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function and support senior management with strategic and operational decision-making. This is a key appointment within the business and offers the opportunity to work closely with directors in a hands-on, commercially focused role. As Financial Controller, you will have full responsibility for the financial management of the company, ensuring robust controls, accurate reporting, and strong cashflow management in a project-driven environment.

Key responsibilities include:

Full ownership of monthly management accounts and year-end financial statements Cashflow forecasting and management Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Oversight of payroll, VAT, CIS, and statutory compliance Managing relationships with auditors, banks, and external advisors Cost control, WIP reporting, and margin analysis Leading and developing the finance team Providing financial insight to support business growth and strategic planning

The Ideal Candidate :
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role Experience in a project-based or contract-led environment is desirable Strong technical accounting knowledge with excellent attention to detail Commercially minded with the ability to influence senior stakeholders Comfortable working in a hands-on role within a fast-paced environment Apply below or get in touch with Marc Norton at Artemis Human Capital for full details.
