Artemis Human Capital is working with a successful and well-established business to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper for an immediate start, 3-month project . This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can hit the ground running and add value quickly within a busy finance environment. This assignment will see you join a collaborative finance team, supporting day-to-day financial operations and ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and continuity across key processes during a period of growth and transition for the business.

The Role Reporting into the Senior Management Team, the Bookkeeper will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth running of the finance function during this fixed-term project. The role covers a broad range of transactional finance and administrative responsibilities, with a strong focus on ledger management, reconciliations, payroll support, and credit control.

Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchase and sales ledgers Handle customer payment queries and support credit control activities Raise purchase orders and liaise with suppliers as required Complete multi-currency bank reconciliations and account allocations Take ownership of the credit control process to ensure timely collections Support stock management in collaboration with operational teams Assist with monthly management accounts and financial reporting Provide general administrative and finance support across the business Contribute to process improvements and best practice within the finance function

What Were Looking For GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English Proven experience within a fast-paced finance or accounts environment Strong administrative background with excellent organisational skills Confident user of MS Excel and Word Experience working with ERP or Management Information Systems High level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to prioritise workload and work to tight deadlines Available to start immediately or at short notice Nice to Have Accounting Technician or Accounting qualification (or currently studying) End-to-end payroll experience Why Apply?
