The Paraplanner will provide high-quality technical and administrative support to the financial planners and clients.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Preparing detailed, accurate and compliant suitability reports across all advice areas.
- Conducting research and analysis on products and funds to support client recommendations.
- Preparing documentation for client meetings, including valuations and reports.
- Liaising with external providers to obtain policy information, projections and illustrations.
- Ensuring client files are accurate, compliant and maintained to a high standard.
- Assisting with the processing and implementation of new business.
- Supporting advisers with ongoing client servicing, reviews, portfolio updates and day‑to‑day queries.
- Maintaining accurate data entry and workflow management within the back‑office system.
- Co-ordinating advisers’ diaries and ensuring timely follow‑up actions.
- Maintaining a high level of client communication and service.
- Keep up to date with financial products, legislation and regulatory changes.
We are seeking a proactive individual with a strong technical background in financial planning who can work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Key skills and experience include:
- Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (CII) or close to completion.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a paraplanning or similar client‑support role.
- Strong understanding of investments, pensions, and protection products.
- Proven experience writing clear, accurate and compliant suitability reports.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Team player with a professional and positive approach
- Confident communicator, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word.
- Experience with cash flow modelling is desirable.
