Interim Head of Finance

Location: Northern Ireland (Hybrid working)

Contract: 3-6 months contract initial

We are supporting a well‑established, private equity–backed international software business operating a recurring‑revenue model and generating significant annual contracted income. The organisation is seeking an Interim Head of Finance to provide leadership and stability across the finance function during a period of continued scale and operational focus.

This role will take responsibility for the day‑to‑day leadership of the finance team, managing four direct reports across accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting and accounting. The position combines hands‑on financial control with team leadership and close collaboration with senior stakeholders.

• Lead and develop a finance team covering AP, AR and reporting
• Oversee month‑end and management reporting processes
• Maintain robust accounting controls and ownership of the general ledger
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cashflow oversight
• Provide clear financial insight to senior stakeholders
• Ensure effective operation and optimisation of the finance system (Net Suite)
• Operate comfortably within a sponsor‑backed governance environment
• Based in, or able to travel regularly to, Northern Ireland under a hybrid model
