Finance - Finance Assistant

The Finance Assistant supports a range of key transactional finance tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across the team. You will report directly to the Finance Director.

This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional seeking a fast-paced, varied role within a small team.

• Experience as an Assistant Accountant or similar finance role
• Exposure to credit control is part of your responsibilities.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
• Ability to work confidently in a small team and manage your own workload
• A positive, hands‑on attitude and willingness to support wider finance activity

• Checking and amending data in spreadsheets
• Filing of paperwork
• Casual payroll
• Reconciling the credit card statements, posting all charges to the ledger, and ensuring that cards don't exceed their credit limits.
• Managing petty cash

• Confidence to communicate both internally & externally
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good organisational skills
• Ability to prioritise workload
• Any other accounting duties reasonably required by the Finance Director.
• Willingness to learn and desire to improve current processes
• Experience with Sage 50 accounts, Sage payroll, and Excel
• Starting salary of £13,000 for 18.75 hours per week (£26,000 FTE)
