Job Description

We are seeking a highly organised and detail‑oriented Finance Administrator to support the finance department. The successful candidate will play a key role in accurately processing financial data and assisting with financial record‑keeping tasks. This position requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enter financial data into internal (e.g., accounting software, spreadsheets) and external systems to maintain accurate record keeping.
  • Reconcile financial transactions and ensure discrepancies are promptly addressed and resolved.
  • Assist with processing sales invoices.
  • Assist in the extraction of data for preparation of financial reports.
  • Support the finance team with various administrative tasks.
  • Respond to queries from internal departments regarding financial data and reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 GCSE passes (A‑C) or equivalent, to include Math & English Language.
  • Proven experience in data entry, preferably in a finance‑related role.
  • Fully competent with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
  • Experience with accounting software (Quick Books is advantageous).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience of working with the processing of sales invoices for payment by NHS Trusts is advantageous but not essential.
Working Conditions
  • Full‑time permanent
  • Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM.
