Management Accountant

Downey Osborne is excited to present a Management Accountant role with a high-growth technology business. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified accountant, ideally from practice, to join a dynamic finance team, support growth, and develop commercial insight across the business. • Newly qualified ACA / ACCA or QBE accountant, ideally with practice experience
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical skills
• Confident in Excel and financial systems
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative
• Comfortable supporting a fast-growing business and delivering insight to stakeholders

• Prepare and own monthly management accounts
• Support month-end close and reconciliations
• Produce clear insight on financial performance and variances
• Maintain accurate records and robust internal controls

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Partner with senior leadership to support business decisions
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis for projects or new initiatives
• Support continuous improvement in reporting processes

• Help prepare audit packs and liaise with external advisors
• Review contracts and highlight financial implications
• Get involved in system upgrades, process enhancements, or special projects

• Sign off figures without understanding them
