Personal Tax Partner – Belfast
Hays is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced Personal Tax professional to join a reputable firm in Belfast as a Personal Tax Partner. The role requires a strong commitment to client service, leadership, and a strategic vision for tax practice growth.
About the FirmEstablished and respected, the firm has a loyal client base and a reputation for delivering high‑quality tax services. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and expanding the Personal Tax practice.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert personal tax advice and planning to high‑net‑worth individuals and their families, ensuring compliance and optimizing tax positions.
- Lead and manage client engagements, overseeing the preparation and review of personal tax returns and related compliance filings.
- Develop and nurture strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and building long‑term partnerships based on exceptional service and value.
- Stay up to date with changes in tax legislation and regulations, proactively advising clients on implications and opportunities.
- Identify tax planning strategies and opportunities to minimize tax liabilities and maximize wealth preservation for clients.
- Conduct research on complex tax matters and provide guidance to clients and team members.
- Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Collaborate with other partners and departments within the firm to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
- Participate in business development activities, including networking, lead generation and proposal development, to expand the client base and achieve growth targets.
- Contribute to strategic planning and decision‑making processes, supporting firm‑wide initiatives.
- ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Extensive experience in personal tax advisory and compliance services, preferably within a reputable accounting or tax firm.
- In‑depth knowledge of UK tax legislation, regulations and best practices relating to personal taxation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in managing and developing a team.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to drive growth and profitability.
- Commercial awareness and a track record of successful business development.
- Exceptional problem‑solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
- A proactive and innovative mindset, always seeking ways to add value to clients and the firm.
- Salary of £90,000.
