The successful candidate will receive in house training to grow and develop their skills" About the Job Reporting to the Financial Controller the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for assisting with and completing the following duties Key responsibilities Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts and variance analysis Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes Completing monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations Preparing and submitting VAT and other statutory returns Assisting with year-end accounts preparation and audit requirements Managing sales ledger and purchase ledger activities, including invoice processing and credit control Supporting payroll processing and related administration Maintaining fixed asset records and company financial data Producing weekly and monthly management reports Working closely with departments across the business to support operational and financial objectives Providing general support across the finance function and assisting with ad hoc projects as required Previous experience Studying towards (or planning to pursue) a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ATI, ACCA, CIMA, ACA) For further information on this opportunity or if you are considering the next step in your career get in touch with Daryl Hunter at HireIQ in complete confidence.
