Purchase to Pay Associate

Finance

This family develops, refines and implements the financial policies, plans, measures and controls to safeguard and accurately report on the financial results of the business.

Job Summary

This role reports to the Purchase to Pay Lead, providing day‑to‑day administrative and clerical duties associated with processing, recording, reconciling, reporting and paying of suppliers.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Checks, codes and processes vendor requests for payment according to standard process, reviewing and addressing any invoice queries prior to payment.
  • Maintains files and records for a high number of suppliers according to process and data standards. Completes standard reports according to reporting schedule.
  • Address and respond to a range of vendor queries using standard office software, producing accurate, professionally formatted letters or emails, memoranda and routine reports.
  • Runs routine reports and carries out all necessary reconciliation activity according to standard process.
  • Follows a range of mandatory procedures to ensure work is carried out to the required quality standards and to ensure adherence to external regulatory codes and internal codes of conduct.
  • Manages and resolves supplier disputes and queries.
  • Manages own workload ensuring all performance measures and SLAs are met.
  • Contributes to process improvement activity and problem‑solving activity.

Experience and qualification

Educated to High School or Further Education College level, with 2 A Levels or equivalent.

1‑3 years of general experience, demonstrating an ability to work unsupervised to standard process.

No management experience needed.
