Finance Administrator
Location:
Belfast Job Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role We are currently working on behalf of a trusted client who is seeking a proactive and organised Finance Administrator to join our finance team in Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and financial skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day administrative support to the finance function, ensuring financial records are maintained accurately and processes run efficiently.
Key Responsibilities Processing purchase invoices and supplier payments Raising sales invoices and allocating customer receipts Reconciling bank accounts and supplier statements Assisting with credit control and following up on outstanding payments Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems Processing employee expenses Supporting payroll administration where required Assisting with month-end procedures and financial reporting Responding to supplier and customer account queries Preparing reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel Providing general administrative support to the finance department About You The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience in a finance or accounts role Good numerical skills and excellent attention to detail Strong organisational and time management abilities Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Experience with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar (desirable) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills The ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines A positive attitude and willingness to learn Desirable AAT qualification or studying towards an accounting qualification Experience working within a busy finance department Knowledge of purchase ledger, sales ledger, and bank reconciliations
