Finance Assistant

Your new company Hays Accountancy & Finance are working with our client, a well-established and growing multi-site business with operations across retail, distribution and property sectors, who are seeking a Finance Assistant to join their busy finance team in Belfast. Your new role Preparing and maintaining bank reconciliations across multiple accounts Producing weekly cashflow reports and financial analysis Processing supplier payments and payment journals Administering finance agreements and allocating transactions to ledgers Assisting with the accounting treatment of loans, asset financing arrangements and foreign currency transactions Supporting monthly and year-end financial reporting activities Assisting with audit preparation and providing documentation as required Contributing to finance process improvements and project work Providing administrative and financial support to the wider business when required What you'll need to succeed Previous experience working within a finance or accounts environment Strong numerical and analytical skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong IT literacy Good communication and interpersonal skills A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment What you'll get in return Free on-site parking Enhanced family-friendly benefits Staff discount programme Employee referral scheme Life assurance Additional annual leave incentives Long service recognition awards What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
