As a
** Senior Credit Officer**, you’ll be a
* Centre of Excellence
* for CIB and specialist portfolios, leading deep dives into complex asset classes, sectors, and products – from derivatives to financial markets. Acting as a trusted advisor and subject-matter guidec, you’ll work closely with senior credit and business leaders, shaping strategy, standards and credit appetite across our organisation.
** What You’ll Do
** In this high‐profile role, you’ll:
* ** Craft high‐quality credit risk opinions
** supporting CIB strategies, risk appetite requests, scenarios, stress testing, emerging risks and regulatory/rating agency queries.
* ** Influence and enhance policy**, reviewing and shaping CIB and specialist Credit policies, standards, portfolio mandates and complex transactions.
* Serve as the
** single point of contact
** for specialist credit queries, portfolio changes and new product proposals.
* Play a pivotal role in
** CIB’s Transaction Execution Committee and Markets Product Committee**, reviewing proposals and providing recommendations.
* ** Scan the horizon
** for economic, market and political developments, helping the team maintain robust portfolio and policy frameworks.
* ** Drive innovation**, leading ad‐hoc projects that enhance our reporting, appetite frameworks, and sector insights.
* ** Champion leadership**, supporting an inclusive, skilled, high‐performing team culture.

You’ll gain substantial exposure to senior colleagues up to GEC level and develop a broad, enterprise-wide perspective across credit, from portfolio strategy and stress testing to building relationships with external participants, management, as well as perfecting your high‐impact communication.
