Credit and Collections Team Lead

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Credit & Collections Lead to join a busy and growing finance team. This role is ideal for a credit control professional looking to take the next step in their career, combining hands-on collections activity with team leadership responsibilities.

The Role You will be responsible for managing customer accounts, resolving payment queries, reducing aged debt, and ensuring the timely collection of outstanding balances. In addition, you will provide guidance and support to team members, helping to drive performance and maintain high service standards.

Key Responsibilities Manage and collect outstanding debt across a varied customer portfolio. Investigate and resolve customer payment disputes. Conduct credit checks and assess customer creditworthiness. Negotiate payment plans and support debt recovery activities. Monitor team performance and support achievement of targets and service levels. Provide coaching, guidance, and subject matter expertise to colleagues. Ensure compliance with company policies and credit procedures.

Maintain accurate records of collection activity and customer accounts. About You Previous experience within Credit Control, Collections, or Accounts Receivable. Experience leading, mentoring, or supervising a team is essential. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines. Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Benefits Salary up to £37,000 Hybrid working Half-day Friday Enhanced holiday entitlement
