Accountant, Financial Reporting, Financial Analyst

Your new company Hays Accountancy & Finance are recruiting on behalf of a large and well-established public sector organisation for two qualified Accountant opportunities. These positions offer the chance to join a busy finance team supporting a diverse range of financial activities, projects and stakeholders across a complex are excellent opportunities for qualified accountants seeking valuable public sector experience within a collaborative and professional finance environment.

Your new role Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports. Budget monitoring, forecasting and variance analysis. Supporting financial planning and performance management processes. Capital accounting and fixed asset management activities. Treasury and cashflow management responsibilities. Assisting with statutory accounts preparation and financial compliance. Supporting internal and external audit processes. Maintaining strong financial controls and governance procedures. Providing financial advice and business partnering support to operational managers.

Identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains. Supervising and supporting junior finance team members where required. Working with financial systems and ERP platforms to ensure accurate financial reporting. What you'll need to succeed Fully qualified accountant status (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent recognised qualification) At least 2 years' experience within financial management, accounting or audit functions Experience in one or more of the following areas:
