Interim Financial Controller TLNT1_NI

Your new company Hays Accountancy & Finance are working with our client, a successful and growing organisation, to recruit an experienced Interim Group Financial Controller. This is a key leadership appointment to support an evolving finance team during a period of transition.

Your new role Leading and managing the year-end audit process for multiple group entities. Acting as the primary contact for external auditors and ensuring all audit requirements are delivered efficiently. Supporting, mentoring and developing a senior finance team member as they transition into increased leadership responsibilities.

Overseeing monthly management accounts, financial reporting and balance sheet controls. Reviewing, enhancing and embedding robust financial controls, governance frameworks and reporting processes. Managing budgeting, forecasting and cash flow activities as required. Providing financial insight and commercial support to senior stakeholders. Identifying and implementing process improvements to drive efficiency and strengthen internal controls. Leading and developing the wider finance team while promoting a collaborative and positive culture.

What you'll need to succeed Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Previous experience as a Financial Controller, Head of Finance or senior finance leader. Strong track record of managing external audits and statutory reporting requirements. Experience improving financial controls, systems and operational processes. Proven ability to coach, mentor and develop finance professionals.
