Duties will include:
Support financial planning, budgeting and forecasting activities. Monitor financial performance and provide management reporting and analysis. Partner with budget holders to provide financial guidance and support informed decision-making. Prepare financial reports, business cases and investment appraisals. Support governance, risk management, audit and financial control processes. Analyse financial data and maintain accurate reporting using financial systems and Excel. Identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements and best practice.
Contribute to statutory reporting and organisational performance initiatives. Criteria Fully qualified accountant and a current member of one of the following professional bodies:
Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI) Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) A minimum of: 2 years' post-qualification experience in a similar role; OR 1 year's post-qualification experience plus 1 year's relevant industry experience in a finance role.
Demonstrable experience of:
Management reporting Finance business partnering Financial planning and forecasting Proven ability to:
Influence and build relationships with senior stakeholders Think strategically and anticipate challenges Develop practical and effective financial solutions Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modelling and analysis.
