The position would suit an experienced Finance Assistant or Accounts Assistant who enjoys a broad remit and would welcome the opportunity to continue developing their finance experience within a professional and supportive environment. About the Role A typical week may include:
Processing and recording supplier invoices using Xero Maintaining accurate and up-to-date supplier records Completing supplier statement reconciliations and investigating discrepancies Responding to invoice queries and liaising with suppliers Raising customer invoices and maintaining accurate billing records Following up outstanding balances and allocating incoming payments Supporting the administration, submission and reconciliation of insurance claims Recording insurance collections, excess payments and associated reporting Reconciling consolidated invoices and resolving any differences identified Maintaining petty cash records and completing regular reconciliations Assisting with the preparation of quarterly management information Providing support during year-end and audit preparation Carrying out additional finance and administrative duties as required What Youll Bring The successful candidate will ideally have:
Previous experience in a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger or similar finance support position Practical experience of invoice processing, reconciliations and general finance administration Experience using an accounting system, with Xero experience particularly advantageous Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Confident communication skills and a professional telephone manner Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite
Experience with in a healthcare, dental, clinical or professional services environment would be beneficial but is not essential. Candidates who are currently studying, or interested in studying, towards AAT, IATI or an equivalent finance qualification are encouraged to apply.
