The Role You will assist with the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accurate financial records and supporting the wider finance team with month-end processes and reporting. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will gain broad exposure across transactional finance, reconciliations and reporting. This is a strong fit for someone early in their accounting career who wants variety, structure and genuine support as they grow.
Key Responsibilities Process purchase and sales invoices Perform bank reconciliations and cash allocation Prepare and post journals Assist with month-end and year-end procedures Reconcile supplier and customer accounts Support credit control and accounts payable activities Process employee expenses Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems Assist with VAT returns and other statutory reporting Support the Finance Manager with ad hoc reporting and analysis Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve account queries What You'll Need Essential: 3+ years' experience in an accounts or finance role Good understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles Experience using accounting software such as Sage, Xero or Microsoft Dynamics Strong Microsoft Excel skills Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Strong communication and problem-solving skills Desirable / Nice to Have: AAT qualified or studying towards AAT, ACCA, CIMA or a similar qualification
Experience with month-end processes Knowledge of VAT procedures Why Apply?
