Day-to-day of the role:
Strategic Financial Planning:
Develop and implement the group's financial strategy in collaboration with the CEO and other Managing Directors to align financial goals with overall business objectives. Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including management accounts, financial statements, and regulatory filings. Budgeting and Forecasting:
Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring robust financial plans are in place to support business operations and growth.
Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate financial risks to protect the group's assets and resources. Cash Flow Management:
Manage the group's cash flow, optimize working capital, and ensure sufficient liquidity to meet financial obligations. Compliance:
Ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations, legal requirements, and accounting standards. Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, banks, auditors, and other external parties. Leadership and Team Management:
Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture and promoting best practices. Cost Management:
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement to ensure efficient use of resources. Business Partnering:
Collaborate with other group businesses to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making. Required Skills &
Qualifications:
Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) Previous experience. working in the distribution and/or manufacturing sector Strong systems implementation experience – ideally Business Central. Extensive experience in senior finance roles, ideally within a group or multi-entity structure. Strong financial accounting and reporting expertise. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to develop and implement financial strategies. In-depth knowledge of relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.
