Management Accountant

An established professional services organisation is seeking a qualified Management Accountant to join its finance team. This is a varied role combining management accounting, financial reporting and analysis with operational finance responsibilities, including billing and cross-functional support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis and management reports within agreed deadlines.
• Produce weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting for senior stakeholders.
• Analyse financial performance, billing activity and key business metrics, presenting insights to both finance and non-finance colleagues.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc financial analysis.
• Take responsibility for day-to-day billing, ensuring invoices are accurate and issued promptly.
• Prepare journals, reconciliations and accounting entries, maintaining accurate financial records.
• Support payroll, VAT returns, pension administration and other routine finance activities.
• Provide cover across key finance functions during periods of leave or peak workload, assisting with credit control, reconciliations, receipts and payments as required.
• Support process improvements, finance systems and departmental projects.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial procedures and regulatory requirements, supporting audit and governance activities.

About You:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Proven experience in management accounting, financial reporting and analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communicator, able to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
