Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join their established finance team. About the Job
Working as part of the finance team, you will support the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring financial records are maintained accurately and processes run efficiently. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a variety of finance functions, including invoice processing, reconciliations, reporting and month-end activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Process invoices, expense claims and purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Complete account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Respond to internal queries relating to billing, payments and account balances.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure compliance with internal controls and company procedures.
- Support the wider finance team with ad hoc administrative and accounting tasks.
Your Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within a finance, accounts or administration role would be beneficial.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Confident using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
Desirable Experience
- Experience using accounting software.
- Exposure to invoice processing, reconciliations or financial reporting.
- Previous experience supporting month-end or year-end processes.
- Experience working within a fast-paced office environment.
