Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance, supporting strategic decision-making, and leading the finance function through its next phase of development.

Your New Role

Reporting to senior leadership, the Financial Controller will take ownership of the finance function while partnering with operational and commercial teams across the responsibilities will include:

• Preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Leading budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
• Managing cash flow, treasury, and working capital performance.
• Maintaining robust financial controls and overseeing statutory compliance and audits.
• Partnering with manufacturing, operations, and supply chain teams to improve profitability and efficiency.
• Driving process improvements and supporting finance systems enhancements.
• Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing finance team.
• Supporting strategic initiatives, business growth plans, and operational decision-making.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Previous experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, Senior Finance Manager, or a strong No.2 ready to step into their first FC role.
• Experience with in manufacturing, distribution, engineering, or a similar operational environment would be highly advantageous.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to influence stakeholders across the business.
• Experience of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and financial controls.
• ERP systems experience, with exposure to Power BI or business intelligence tools is beneficial.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and business partnering skills.
