The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a hands-on role across transactional finance, month-end processes and commercial reporting. You will work across multiple entities within the group, giving you broad exposure well beyond a single business. This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys variety in their day and is looking to develop their career within a growing group.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts across multiple entities
- Support purchase ledger, sales ledger and payroll processes
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and bank accounts on a regular basis
- Assist with VAT returns, Intrastat and fixed asset management
- Support month-end journals, accruals and prepayments
- Assist with credit control and customer account reconciliations
- Maintain accurate financial records in line with company policies
What You'll Need
Essential:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a busy finance or accounts environment
- Experience using Sage 200
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to work to tight deadlines in a pressured, fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative team approach
Desirable / Nice to Have:
- Experience working across multiple entities
- Exposure to VAT
- Part-qualified with CIMA, ACCA or ACA
