Abacus Careers is recruiting for an exciting Corporate Tax Senior Manager opportunity with a leading accountancy and business advisory firm in Belfast City Centre.

You’ll work alongside experienced Tax Directors, advising a diverse portfolio spanning ambitious owner-managed businesses, SMEs, corporate groups and UK subsidiaries of international organisations. This is a highly commercial role where you’ll go beyond compliance, helping clients navigate transactions, restructuring, growth and complex tax matters.

You’ll also have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills, support the growth of the tax advisory function and make a genuine impact within an ambitious and expanding team. What You’ll Be Doing Lead complex UK corporation tax advisory projects, delivering technically robust and commercially relevant advice.

Advise on corporate restructures and reorganisations, including holding company structures, group simplification, demergers, hive-ups and pre-sale restructuring.

Support transaction-related work covering acquisitions, disposals, due diligence, tax structuring, management buy-outs, succession planning and exit readiness.

Advise on corporation tax reliefs and incentives, including capital allowances, substantial shareholdings exemption, loss utilisation and group relief planning.

Support clients with international and cross-border corporation tax matters, including transfer pricing, permanent establishment risk, withholding taxes and overseas expansion.

Collaborate with colleagues across audit, accounts, corporate finance and private client teams to deliver joined-up solutions and identify advisory opportunities.

Act as a key contact for complex UK corporation tax technical queries, producing clear advice notes, reports and client communications.

Lead and develop tax team members while contributing to business development, proposals, client relationships and wider growth initiatives. What We’re Looking For Strong experience delivering complex Corporate Tax advisory services within an accountancy practice.

ACA and/or CTA qualification, or equivalent.

Excellent technical knowledge of Corporate Tax with the ability to translate complexity into practical, commercial advice.

Previous experience managing, mentoring or developing junior team members.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a client-focused approach.

A commercially minded outlook and confidence working with a varied client portfolio.
