Treasury Finance Assistant

MCS Group are proud to be partnering with a leading organisation in their search for a Finance Assistant. This role would suit a finance professional with strong attention to detail, good Excel skills and an interest in developing their experience within Treasury.

The Role:

* Process and reconcile banking, payment and receipt transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
* Prepare and review journals, month-end and year-end reconciliations, working papers and management reports.
* Process and authorise payments including BACS, Faster Payments, CHAPS, foreign currency payments and cheques.
* Monitor customer payments and credit card receipts, investigating and resolving reconciliation issues.
* Maintain daily bank reconciliations and work with internal teams and external providers to resolve queries.
* Support cash management, banking relationships and Treasury processes, ensuring strong financial controls are maintained.
* Use Excel and financial systems to analyse data, maintain accurate records and support continuous process improvements.

The Person The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Essential:
* Experience working in a Finance/Accounting environment or a third-level HNC/HND/Degree (or equivalent) in Business or Finance.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyse information and resolve issues effectively.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing competing priorities. What's in it for you?
