Position: Payments Team Leader
Ready to take the next step in your finance or payments career as a Team Leader? MCS Group are proud to be partnering with a leading public sector organisation in their search for an FPS Dental Team Leader to join their team in Belfast.

The Role As an FPS Dental Team Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a Payments Team, ensuring work is delivered accurately, efficiently and within agreed deadlines. You will play a key role in maintaining effective payment processes, supporting staff and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Key responsibilities will include:
Managing and coordinating the day-to-day workload of the Payments Team. Ensuring payments are processed accurately and promptly in line with relevant procedures and regulations. Monitoring workloads, outstanding payments, expenditure and service performance. Developing efficient working practices and robust payment controls. Analysing payment data and producing reports and management information. Providing advice and guidance on payment queries, reconciliations and relevant guidelines.

Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver services effectively. Supporting audit activity, process improvements and the implementation of new procedures. Leading and developing staff to ensure targets, deadlines and service standards are achieved.

The Person We are keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate: A relevant university degree/professional qualification and at least 2 years' managerial experience within a Finance or Payments role, OR At least 4 years' managerial experience within a Finance/Payments department. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Access. Experience collating and analysing data and producing reports with recommendations. Knowledge of relevant legislation/statutory guidelines, GDPR and data protection principles.
