Therefore, max take home salary will be circa £32,000. Primary responsibilities;
Assist and liaise with the Head of Finance Business Partnering, Finance Director and CFO to plan and produce 3-5-year budget forecasts across the organisation. Undertake monthly in-year budget monitoring and reporting, covering both revenue and capital expenditure. Undertake monthly payroll monitoring and reconciliation against budget, investigating discrepancies and supporting resolution where appropriate, with sign-off from relevant budget holders. Support with payroll calculations and queries, calculating salaries based on grades, contracted hours and working arrangements to support accurate budget forecasting.
Act as a first point of contact for banking queries and process relevant bank transactions. Take responsibility for maintaining the purchase ledger and ensuring transactions are accurately recorded. Review and action open purchase orders as part of the month-end process. Prepare and review prepayments, accruals, deferred income and accrued income as part of the month-end close. Support the financial management and reporting of specific projects and commercial activities.
Assist and advise budget holders on procurement processes and achieving best value for money. Ensure compliance with relevant financial, audit and reporting requirements, including those relating to external funding and regulatory bodies. Maintain an awareness of relevant legislation and guidance covering finance, taxation, VAT, National Insurance and other financial matters. Key experience and attributes;
Budgeting, reporting, monitoring budgets and providing financial management support. Accruals, prepayments and month end journals experience. Microsoft Office and advanced skills in Excel data management and reporting. Organised and thorough with a good eye for detail and ability to work to deadlines. Ability to work independently. Rigorous and methodical with the ability to manage own workload and meet deadlines. Work effectively under pressure, managing conflicting priorities and meeting challenging deadlines.
